A person perched on a painted wall against open sky

The Inbetween is a photography project about people at a point of tension. Not the big dramatic moments, but the quiet ones just before or just after. The breath held, the decision not yet made.

I'm interested in what a face does when it thinks no one is watching. The project is a human-centric study, built one portrait at a time, looking for the honesty that lives in the gap between composure and release.

It's slow work, and it's meant to be. Anybody can take a picture of a face. The project is about staying long enough that the face forgets to perform.
